Our team is expanding and has a global footprint of more than 60 people. We have offices in Dublin, Waterford and New York and remote employees spread out from the west coast of North America all the way to Melbourne. We work flexibly and operate as a remote friendly company so our team in the vicinity of offices can choose the home / office arrangement that works best for them. 


Please note: This role is based in the Republic of Ireland, and we cannot facilitate remote working outside of Ireland for this position. We cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.

About the role


We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an opportunity to lead existing team, to streamline processes, and to play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of on-going projects.


What you’ll do


  • Build trust, respect, and empathy with your team, delivering feedback with radical candor.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the organization, from tech leads and individual contributors, to product managers and designers, to peers and the executive team.

  • Create career progression frameworks and assist engineers in developing blueprints for personal growth and learning.

  • Inspire team members and candidates to take on new challenges and grow both personally and professionally.

  • Strengthen our team by hiring excellent team members and supporting their integration and development.

What you’ll bring


  • 5+ years of significant hands-on software development and system design experience.

  • 2+ years of managing software engineering teams.

  • Not afraid to get into the weeds. Whether that's debugging a tricky issue, reviewing logs, or triaging incidents to help the team get unstuck.

  • Proficient in at least one programming language and have a strong background in system design.

  • Have experience developing reliable distributed systems and can provide technical guidance.

  • Are hands-on enough to understand the technical challenges faced by the team, even if not contributing to code regularly.

  • Have a proven ability to solve complicated technical problems and analyze trade-offs with empathy for the developers they work with.

  • Prefer to fix problems with a combination of technology and process improvements, ensuring sustainable and scalable solutions.
