About the role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering Fund Recs’ Depository Solutions.

This is a senior individual contributor role, ideally suited to someone coming from a Depository Operations background who is ready to transition into Product. You will bring deep, hands‑on experience of Investment Compliance Monitoring (ICM), alongside Cash Flow Monitoring (CFM) and Other Asset Register (OAR), and a strong understanding of both Private and Traditional Assets.

You will be responsible for owning complex problem statements, mapping real‑world Depository workflows into scalable product solutions, and working closely with Engineering, Client Solutions, and Clients to deliver outcomes that materially improve how Depositories operate day‑to‑day.

You will take end‑to‑end ownership of the Investment Compliance Monitoring (ICM) solution, including defining the control framework, rule coverage, breach handling, and validation approach. You will be responsible for scoping what “good” looks like in ICM, designing how it should operate in practice, and signing off that the solution is fit for purpose from a Depository oversight perspective.

This role requires strong problem‑solving ability, comfort working with ambiguity, and the ability to clearly define what the solution should look like, translating deep operational knowledge into pragmatic, well‑designed product capabilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Own product problem areas relating to Depository Oversight, with a strong focus on Investment Compliance Monitoring, and supporting coverage of CFM and OAR.

  • Use deep operational experience to map as‑is Depository BAU processes and define to‑be product workflows that are scalable, auditable, and regulator‑ready.

  • Define and own the ICM control framework, including rule definition, breach classification, tolerances, escalation logic, and evidencing requirements.

  • Act as the subject‑matter lead for Depository use cases, ensuring regulatory, operational, and control considerations are fully embedded in product design.

  • Translate complex client problems, regulatory obligations, and control requirements into clear, structured product requirements and user stories.

  • Work closely with Engineering to clarify requirements, evaluate solution options, and ensure high‑quality delivery.

  • Take ownership of backlog prioritisation, sprint planning, and feature definition for your product area.

  • Validate functionality through UAT, client feedback, and real‑world scenario testing.

  • Partner with Client Solutions and Solutions Engineering to support onboarding, migrations, and complex client engagements where deep product input is required.

  • Engage directly with clients (particularly Depositories) to understand pain points, gather feedback, and validate proposed solutions.

  • Contribute to broader roadmap planning and longer‑term product strategy for Depository‑focused solutions.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce operational risk, and automate manual oversight activities.

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years’ experience working within a Depository

  • Extensive, hands on experience covering:

    • Investment Compliance Monitoring (ICM) – essential

    • Cash Flow Monitoring (CFM)

    • Other Asset Register (OAR)

  • Strong understanding of Depository obligations, daily BAU activities, and regulatory expectations.

  • Experience across Private Assets and Traditional Assets, with a clear understanding of where workflows, controls, and data challenges differ.

  • Demonstrated progression in your current or previous role

  • Proven ability to solve complex operational problems and think critically about how a process or control should work, not just how it works today.

  • A structured, analytical mindset with the ability to document problems, design solutions, and communicate them clearly.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence working cross functionally.

  • The ability and appetite to transition from an operational execution role into a Product role focused on defining and shaping solutions.

  • Comfort working in a fast moving environment where requirements evolve and clarity needs to be created.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Nice to have:

  • Prior exposure to Product Management, Business Analysis, or systems implementation projects.

  • Experience working with fintech or regtech platforms.

  • Familiarity with agile delivery environments.

  • Experience contributing to change initiatives within a Depository or oversight function.
